What can I expect during my CoolSculpting treatment?

The applicator is placed on the treatment area and suction applied, followed by a cooling effect. During the procedure you may experience pulling or tugging sensations, mild pinching, intense cold, tingling, stinging, aching, and cramping at the treatment site. These sensations subside as the area becomes numb. At completion of the cycle, the applicator is detached and the provider massages the area to break up the treated fat cells and enhance the fat reduction.

How long is a CoolSculpting treatment?

Treatment time varies from 35-75 minutes, depending on the area, per application. There may be multiple applications in the same session.

What is the downtime for a treatment?

Unlike surgical options for fat reduction, there is little to no downtime after a CoolSculpting treatment. You can return to work, or even go to the gym, immediately after a treatment.

Are there any side effects after a CoolSculpting treatment?

Typical side effects after the procedure may include: temporary redness, swelling, bruising, blanching, firmness, tingling, stinging, tenderness, cramping, aching, itching, or skin sensitivity, and sensation of fullness in the back of the throat after submental or submandibular area treatment. These generally subside within a few days.

When will I see results?

You will start to see results as soon as 1 to 3 months after treatment, however, final results may take 6 months or more.

How many treatments will I need?

After a single treatment, you will see up to a 20-25% fat reduction in the treated area. Additional treatments may be necessary to reach desired goals.
