Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Injections

What is Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)?

Your blood is made up of 4 main components: red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, and plasma. Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a platelet concentrated component from your own blood that contains nutrient rich cells and protein growth factors.

What are platelets?

Platelets are tiny cells that circulate within our body and bind together when they recognize damaged blood vessels. Platelets are made in your bone marrow along with your red and white blood cells.

What is plasma?

Plasma is the largest component of your blood, making up about 55% of its overall
content. The primary purpose of plasma is to transport nutrients, hormones, and proteins to the parts of the body that need it.

How is PRP prepared?

PRP is produced when a small amount of blood is drawn and placed into a sterile, disposable container and then, spun in a centrifuge to separate the platelets and
plasma from your red blood cells, resulting in platelet-rich plasma.

Is Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) safe?

PRP is completely safe because it comes from your own blood, therefore there is
minimal risk for allergic or immune reaction.

Facial PRP with Microneedling

Combining PRP with microneedling of the face can boost the effectiveness of the treatments. Adding PRP is achieved by injecting PRP into areas of the face that require particular focus, using PRP as a serum topically during microneedling, or frequently a combination of both methods. This stunning duo treatment not only turns on the skin’s natural healing mechanism, but amplifies it even further to create enhanced results, leading to a bigger decrease in fine lines and wrinkles, increased elasticity and firmness, and smoother texture.

When treating acne scarring, PRP can even hasten the improvement of the appearance of the scars, thus potentially requiring fewer treatments.

The addition of PRP to microneedling treatments does not increase risk, expected recovery or downtime to the overall treatment. Although most commonly combined with microneedling, PRP can be added to many other facial treatments as well, such as our Opus Plasma.

PRP Undereye

The undereye area can be targeted directly with PRP, generally done as a series of
several treatments. PRP is a more natural way to treat this stubborn area compared to filler, without the potentially serious risks. PRP injected under the eyes triggers your body’s own healing response causing production of new collagen and elastin.

Beautiful results include fewer lines/wrinkles, smoother, tighter skin, less puffiness, and brighter appearance with less shadowing or darkening under the eye. There is virtually no downtime after treatments, although patients may experience a little swelling or bruising.

PRP for Sexual Wellness (Women and Men)

PRP can be used in both men and women for sexual wellness by promoting remodeling of tissue, increasing circulation, and decreasing inflammation. Treatments are safe, quick and almost painless with no recovery time. Results can be experienced almost immediately in some patients with full results at 2-3 months post procedure. PRP can be used in virtually anyone, and patients on and off hormone replacement therapy can usually benefit.

Most common symptoms women suffer with that can benefit from PRP treatment: vaginal dryness, painful intercourse, low sexual desire, difficulty being aroused or achieving orgasm, and urinary incontinence when coughing/jumping/laughing.

Most common symptoms men suffer with that can benefit from PRP treatment: erectile changes, inability to achieve firmness, difficulty maintaining firmness, decreased sensation, an angle that causes pain or difficulty, and decrease in size often seen with normal aging.
